Connected Families is built on the belief that when families have hope and vision for their lives, they can grow in strength and significance. This belief was behind the launching of a faith-based outreach in 2002. You can learn more about that work at www.connectedfamilies.org
Restorative Department
In 2003, Connected Families launched a Restorative department. This department targets high-risk families in two distinct ways. The first is through traditional clinical counseling. The second was launched at the invitation of Carver County Social Services in Minnesota, to provide in-home services to build safety and strength in high-risk families, using the Signs of Safety approach to Children’s protection work.
Signs of Safety
The work with Carver County has been guided since 2004 by Dr. Andrew Turnell, and since 2008 our staff have traveled first around the state, and now around the country to share what we have learned from Andrew and in Carver County with others.
